Congratulations to juniors: Kelsee Coil, Vanessa Fenstermaker, Isaak Gierscher, & Addison Reed on being named Rising Stars for the Class of '26 by the IASP for their outstanding academic success! Way to represent Busco! #GreatThingsHappenHere #WeAreBusco

Every year, we have several organizations who reach out and want to help support families who may not be able afford many or any gifts for their children. The school counselors help coordinate this effort so I wanted to share the Christmas spirit that is alive in Busco. We had 24 SGCS families helped this year! The following organizations made this possible. Thank you to all of you who personally help through your time and/or money. Merry Christmas!
Jr-Sr High School Student Council/CTA
Elementary Staff
American Legion
VFW
Blue Lake Association
St. John Bosco Catholic Church
Churubusco Church of the Nazarene
Sugar Grove Church of God
Christ Community Church (C3)

Thespian Troupe #971 just returned from 2 fantastic days in Chicago as they were able to attend the Broadway production of “Harry Potter & the Cursed Child," see The Bean in Millennium Park, visit the Lincoln Park Zoo, taste some Chicago-style pizza, and ride public transportation--all while exploring the city that was all decorated for Christmas. For several students, this was their first time to visit Chicago. We are grateful for the opportunity to bond and experience this trip together! 🎭

Thank you, Eagles, for all your donations of coats for Coats for Kids and items for The Shepherd's House. Mr. Cheshier took members of the Student Council to both places to deliver your donations, which are so very much appreciated!

We honor and thank you.

It's National School Psychology Week. Thank you Mrs. Kulwicki for all you do!

Today is Veterans Day, and we want to first thank those of you who brought donations to Shepherd’s House. If you aren’t familiar with them, the Shepherd’s House works to support all those who have served our country.
For Veterans Day each year, the US Department of Veterans Affairs chooses a theme. This year, the theme is Loyalty and Service–and that’s just what our Veterans do; they leave a legacy of loyalty and service to our country. Did you know: There are about 18 million Veterans living among us, in every state and territory, and from every walk of life? Many of the students in your class may be the son, daughter, cousin, or other relative of a Veteran or current Servicemember. To truly celebrate Veterans Day, take a moment to honor and thank all those who have served honorably in the military–both the past and the present. It is important to acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices each Veteran has made to support and protect our nation.
Today, at 11 am, we will join thousands of others and have a moment of silence as they lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery to start the annual Veterans Day Ceremony to show our appreciation to all who served in the United States Armed Forces.
