Returning Student Registration Information
Welcome student and families to Smith-Green Community Schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This page contains much of the information needed for getting registered and ready to return to school.
Most, if not all of the paperwork can be completed online. You must access the "Annual Registration" link via your Parent Powerschool account using a browser (the mobile app will not work for registration). Online registration will be available from May 28th - July 26th.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED SGCS SCHOOLS LAST YEAR:
You will receive an email when the online registration process is open.
Here is some information that you will need to have before you start the process:
all parent/guardian names, addresses, phone numbers, emails and employer names
1-2 emergency contact names, phone numbers (other than parents if possible)
preferred dr, dentist and phone numbers
health insurance infomation
medical information (including current medication information)
current proof of residency (utility bill, bank statement, loan statement, mortgage statement, rental agreement)
plans for where to send your child in case of an early dismissal of school
Login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access the Registration link (found in the lower left of the menu). This access is only provided to the parent account, not the student's account. On the registration screens, verify the information currently on file and provide any updates. If changes to the student's name are needed, you will need to bring appropriate documentation to the school after August 1st. If you do not have a parent account, please contact your child's school or David Uchtman for assistance.
Add funds to your child's lunch account or pay textbook fees online can be done via Send Money to School.
If information needs to be updated throughout the year, you can access the "Year Round Update" link in your PowerSchool Parent account to update certain information.
