The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military. The Purple Star School Designation is valid for a three-year time period. Schools awarded this designation are listed below.

We appreciate Mrs. Carson's commitment to assist our local veterans and their families. Mrs. Carson completed specialized training to fill this need to better equipped to help veteran families.

Each year the students and staff at CJSHS honor our local veterans either with a school assembly or as honored guests at a fish fry fundraiser held at the school.

At the February 19, 2024 Smith-Green Community Schools Board of Education adopted a Resolution in Support of Military Families.

CJSHS is committed to offering military service members and their immediate family members interviews for job openings at Churubusco Jr-Sr High School when they meet the minimum qualifications.
